Project No.: 0301  Area in camp: Camp Wide Project Name: Destroy Multi-flora Rose (whole camp) fields and trails - Rodman - Assigned to: Troop 912-WE-BC 4-26-08 - Need many Troops 2008

Project Description: In most locations multi-flora rose will not have to be handled. Use loppers to cut the branches of the rose bush into short pieces and let them lay flat on the ground where they fall. Saw off the stump at ground level. Uproot the stump with a shovel or mattock.   The 2007 "Thorn Buster" token and patch, will be available for Scouts and adults that meets that programs requirements.

Materials, Tools and  Labor provided by Buckeye Council: NA

Materials, Tools and  Labor provided by Assigned Unit: TOOLS: Gloves, eye protection, loppers for each participant. One bow saw, shovel and mattock for about every 10 people using loppers.  LABOR: Many units. Any number of Scouts with adult supervision.   SKILL: Persistence   (All day project)
