Description: Multi- flora Rose - In most locations multi-flora rose
will not have to be handled. Use loppers to cut the branches of the rose bush
into short pieces and let them lay flat on the ground where they fall. Saw off
the stump at ground level. Uproot the stump with a shovel or mattock.
Grape Vine - Cut the grape vine off at ground level and six feet above the
ground. An adult leader to spray "Roundup" on the grape vine stump.
The GTW Coordinator will assign an area for your unit to
remove multi-flora rose and or grapevine when you check in for the Good Turn
Weekend. Check with the GTW Coordinator to receive your "Thorn & Vine Buster" token and patch, for Scouts and
Adults that worked more than 4 hours on
this project.

Project Description:
Install gate on the west edge of the
Lake Don Brown dam. Location will be marked with stakes. The pivot side of the
gate will be located on the north side of the road, Dig 3 ft deep holes, set
the post (and temp. brace up) mix and pour 3 bags of premix concrete and pour
around the base of each pole. Insure the gate is level before pouring concrete.
