Project No.: 0056  Area in camp: Central Camp Project Name: Build new trail Assigned to: Troop 1-SE-BC2008

Project Description: On the north side Meter Road, build an 8 feet wide trail starting at the Maint. Road and head east for 500 feet. (to the open field before Turkey Ridge) The trail needs to be 8 ft. wide, remove all brush, trees and over hanging branches. Then spread wood chips in a 6 ft wide path.

Project Description: Fixing up the Flag Pole area by the Camp Admin and First Aid station. Weed, and trim the plantings, and rework the paver stones around the pole.

Troop 12-SE-BC

 

Project No.: 0011  Area in camp: Back 40 Project Name: Hopocan, Tree Removal Assigned to: X 2008

Project Description: In the Hopocan campsite, there are five two sycamore trees located in the back of the campsite, Remove the trees, dig out five tree stumps and fill the holes.  All brush to be carried into the tree line beyond the grass area. (trees need to be removed for safety)

Project No.: 0015  Area in camp: Central Camp Project Name: Central Camp Beautification - Bass Pond  Assigned to:  X

Project Description: 1.  Remove trees and brush from Bass Pond dam.  Drag brush into trees on west end of dam.  Weed whip weeds on dam.

2. Cut brush and weed around shore line of the Bass pond at water level and remove any obstructions preventing the flow of water out the dam's overflow area.  Drag brush into trees on west side of pond.

Project No.: 0040  Area in camp: Akela Project Name: Remove Trees and Brush Assigned to: X2008

Project Description: Remove the trees and brush on the outside of the fence to a distance of 10’ clearing around the outside of the fence that is around the lake at the camp’s treatment plant.  Drag the trees and brush deep into the woods, At the trees on the far side of the lake, leave a 5 ft clearing outside of the fence. Note-the far side of the lake is at the edge of the shot gun range.

Project No.: 0045  Area in camp: Peninsula Project Name: Install Dry Well Assigned to: X2008

Project Description: At the latrine for Ottawa campsite, dig a 3 ft deep by 3ft round hole and place a pipe vertical in to the hole then backfill around the pipe, install a 4” pipe from the latrine water wash station to the vertical pipe, fill the vertical pipe with gravel. Place a lid over the pipe

Project Description: In most locations multi-flora rose will not have to be handled. Use loppers to cut the branches of the rose bush into short pieces and let them lay flat on the ground where they fall. Saw off the stump at ground level. Uproot the stump with a shovel or mattock. The GTW Coordinator will assign an area for your unit to remove multi-flora rose when you check into camp. Check with the GTW Coordinator to receive your "Thorn Buster" token and patch, for Scouts and adults that worked more than 4 hr. on this project.

Project Description: Paint the fence located at the back equipment entrance to the Shot Gun Range, make any needed repairs as needed, and also repair the fence between the Shot Gun Range and Rifle Range.

Project Description: In the water front area there are two building, clean up around the building, remove any weeds, clean the wood and paint with water base paint. (one building is the tower, one building is next to the swimming docks.)

Project Description: Starting at the water tower build a 6 feet wide trail down hill to the Akela Amphitheater. The new trail will be marked with tape. The trail needs to be 6 ft. wide, remove all brush, trees and over hanging branches, level any small piles of dirt. Then spread wood chips in a 4 ft wide path.
