Project Description: Starting on the peninsula area, inspect all the campsite's picnic tables, repair or replace wood as need, continue inspection and repair to The Ridge, Magic Mountain, Central Camp, then Back 40 campsites (est. 8 to 10 tables needing repair).

Project Description: Place litter in trash bags - put in hopper at Adm. Parking Lot.  All "large items" (bricks, stones, firewood) to be placed by campsite or activity area bulletin board.  (Mike Devine is checking to see if this project is needed)

Project No.: 0101, Area in camp: Central Camp,  Project Name: Building benches Assigned to: Troop 152-OC-HO 2010 - N

Project Description:  We need 8 new benches to be placed around the outside of the Dinning Hall.

Using the one of the benches that is now there, build 8 new ones.

Material needed, 4  2x4x12, 1  2x6x10, nuts and bolts, If troop supplies all materials, they can route their troop numbers into the wood, If troop wishes to have Council supply the material, only “7R” can be routed into the wood.  Summer Camp will have the new benches painted in summer camp as a good turn project.

Project No.: 0073,  Area in camp: Camp Wide, Project Name: Destroy Multi-flora Rose & Grape Vine - April 17 Assigned to:(Troop 862-OC-SK 16 Scouts/ 4 Adults) ( Troop 9049-OC-GW 10 Scouts/ 4 Adults)  ( Troop 552-OC-GT 8 Scouts/ 2 Adults) ( Troop 556-OC-GT 10 Scouts/ 3 Adults) (Troop 152-OC-HO 15 Scouts/4 Adults)      2010 Need many Troops

Project Description: Multi- flora Rose - In most locations multi-flora rose will not have to be handled. Use loppers to cut the branches of the rose bush into short pieces and let them lay flat on the ground where they fall. Saw off the stump at ground level. Uproot the stump with a shovel or mattock.

    Grape Vine - Cut the grape vine off at ground level and six feet above the ground.  An adult leader to spray "Roundup" on the grape vine stump.

    The GTW Coordinator will assign an area for your unit to remove multi-flora rose and or grapevine when you check in for the Good Turn Weekend. Check with the GTW Coordinator to receive your "Thorn & Vine Buster" token and patch, for Scouts and Adults that worked more than 4 hours on this project.

Project Description: Platforms needing repair or rebuild each as needed.  This is a camp-wide project, mark on your job sheet what camps are completed before turning in paperwork at end of day.   Check with Ranger Skip before repairing the platforms in the Miami campsite.

Project Description:  Miami Campsite, cut down the size of the platform (20) to fit wide walls tents.

Project No.: 0030,  Area in camp: Turkey Ridge, Project Name:  Old Oak Pond Maintenance Assigned to:  Troop 265-GS-BC 2010

Project Description: Old Oak Pond is behind the Smith House near the Red Barn

1.  Remove trees and brush from Old Oak Pond dam to ground level.  Pile the trees and brush off the dam to the south for future burning or removal.   Weed whip weeds on dam.

2. Cut brush and weed back 10’ around the shore line of the Old Oak Bass pond.  Pile the brush for future burning or removal.   

            Our goal is to open up the pond for fishing and get the dam surface vegetation to all grass so that it can be maintained by using only weed whips.  Any suggestions to meet this goal will be appreciated.

Project Description: Re-set and add steps using 6X6X6 posts with rebar or railroad ties with rebars to make the trail safer to use by all campers.

Project Description: Clear all campsites in Calumet of tree fall and make ready for season. Inspect and clean all latrines. Inspect and clean all refrigerators. Inspect and clean picnic shelter and store room.  Inspect and clear amphitheater of fallen trees and debris and make ready for season.
