Project Description: In most locations multi-flora rose will not have to be handled. Use loppers to cut the branches of the rose bush into short pieces and let them lay flat on the ground where they fall. Saw off the stump at ground level. Uproot the stump with a shovel or mattock. The GTW Coordinator will assign an area for your unit to remove multi-flora rose when you check into camp. Check with the GTW Coordinator to receive your "Thorn Buster" token and patch, for Scouts and adults that worked more than 4 hours on this project.

Project Description: Remove wire and springs from 12 sleeping bunks and replace with plywood, bunks located at Tree Farm double garage building.

Project Description: In the Eco-Lodge remove light covers, clean and reinstall.  Also clean or replace bulbs and do any other cleaning needed.

Project No.: 0021  Area in camp: Magic Mt. Project Name: Trim pine trees on Magic Mountain Assigned to: Troop 84-NE-BC

Project Description: Thin and remove diseased pine trees in Eagle's Nest, Pines and Staff campsites on Magic Mountain.  Drag cut trees into hardwood area.  If trees are located in a grass mowing area, dig up the roots 6 inches below ground then cut tree and refill hole.  Also remove or destroy old stumps marked with paint in mowed area (est. 8 existing stumps.)

Project Description: In the lower part of the Red Barn, there are 2 bedrooms, kitchen, and living room needing the walls and ceiling painted.  Walls and ceilings will need cleaned before painting.  Also clean the non-painted walls and floors through out the lower part of the barn.

Project No.: 0034  Area in camp: Peninsula Project Name: Limb Up Pine Trees Assigned to: Troop 90-NE-BC 2008

Project Description: Remove the lower limbs of the small cluster of pine trees marked with ribbon to the west of the Handi-Craft Lodge.  Remove the limps to a height of 8’.  Drag cut limb into field so they can be chipped at a later date.  Do not pile limbs.  Do not cut off "growth ring" or leave a "stump" on trimmed trees.  See Good Turn Coordinator for instructions before starting work.

Project Description: Platforms needing repair are marked with a small Orange color marker on the front side of the platform (74 platforms are marked throughout camp) repair or rebuild each as needed. Upon completion of each platform remove the orange tag and turn in to Ranger Skip (Note: do not remove green nor red tags) This is a camp-wide project, mark on your job sheet what camps are completed before turning in paperwork at end of day.

Project No.: 0046  Area in camp: Central Camp  Project Name: Dig Up Water Line Assigned to: Troop 141-NE-BC 2008

Project Description: Between the water-front staff campsite and the lake is a well and an isolation valve

Dig up the isolation valve (est. to be 3 to 3 ½ ft down then dig a trench from the valve to the well head. Upon completion, inform Ranger Skip to inspect and document what is located. Then back fill the hole area.   Take caution in digging in and round the valve and well head as to not damage the water line.

Project Description: With in the Erie Campsite, remove all branches up to 8ft above the ground and clean up around the trees to permit mowing equipment to cut grass around the base of all trees within the campsite.

Project Description: Cut out undesirable trees and bush at Akela Campsites.  Stack "firewood" and "spars" by bulletin boards. Take brush and place into the tree line.  Talk to Ranger Skip about tree removal location.

Project Description: Cut down dead and fallen trees; cut trees up for firewood and stack - the long thin pieces to be used to line trails. Clean brush from campsites that has accumulated since last season.  Basically the same project as in years past.

Project Description: Thin out the trees along Dinning Hall Road at Adena campsite.   Remove selected trees and trim other trees as directed by Ranger Skip.  Dispose of tree top as directed by Ranger Skip.

Project Description: In most locations multi-flora rose will not have to be handled. Use loppers to cut the branches of the rose bush into short pieces and let them lay flat on the ground where they fall. Saw off the stump at ground level. Uproot the stump with a shovel or mattock. The GTW Coordinator will assign an area for your unit to remove multi-flora rose when you check into camp. Check with the GTW Coordinator to receive your "Thorn Buster" token and patch, for Scouts and adults that worked more than 4 hours on this project.

Project Description: Scrape off old wood chips on the trail and place new wood chips on trail from Magic Mt. to Trading Post

Project Description: Scrape off old wood chips on the trail and place new wood chips on trail from Pines to Trading Post.  Repair hand rail.

Project Description: At the archery range when you open the big front door all that keeps it open is 2 chains and 2 hooks. I would like to see maybe that a couple 2x4's might work better to keep it open. If you look at the front of the archery shed you can see how the chains and hooks keep it open. Maybe the 2x4's would work better then the chains.

Project Description: In the Hopocan campsite, there are five sycamore trees located in the back of the campsite, Remove the trees and the tree stumps. All brush to be carried into the tree line beyond the grass area. (trees need to be removed for safety)

Project Description: Cut / split downed trees and haul to campfire areas (Bridge Builders - Akela - Morehead) as directed. Down trees located between Tecumseh campsite and the water tower, also down trees located just in the woods on the right side of this campsite.

Project Description: On the left side of the road going to the Eco center, is a fallen, cut up tree, and split in to fire wood, relocate the wood to Friday and Sunday night camp fire circles.
