GOOD TURN WEEKEND

MARCH 14, 15 & 16, 2008

This Good Turn Weekend is organized by Netawotwes District at the Seven Ranges Scout Reservation.  Join in the fun and fellowship while helping to maintain and develop our Council Camps.  Your Scouts and Leaders will also be meeting the 2008 Pipestone Good Turn Requirement.

Camping is free and lunch is provided for all Units participating in the Good Turn Weekend workday. Saturday, March 15th, is the workday. Units that are camping can check in Friday night at the Adult Leader’s Meeting at 10:00 pm in the Staff Lounge under the Dining Hall. Units coming just for Saturday will check in between 8:00 am and 9:00 am at the Administration Building. A Vesper Service and campfire will be held in the Dining Hall Saturday evening. The camp will be closed to all other camping and activities, so Units can plan their own activities for the remainder of the weekend.

You can apply to participate in the Netawotwes District Good Turn Weekend by filling out a “Unit Application” on the internet.  Go to the Buckeye Council web site: “www.buckeyecouncil.org”, click on the “Good Turn Program Link” at the top of the Buckeye Council home page, then click on the “Unit Application” button,   fill out the form and click “Submit GTP Application”.  All applications will be processed as soon as possible after they are received and you will be notified if your Unit is accepted to participate in the Netawotwes District Good Turn Weekend.  You will note that a “Hold for Unit” has been placed on campsites occupied last year by Netawotwes District Units and other Units that have made prior arrangements.  These “Hold for Unit” campsites will be held for the identified Unit until February 28.  All campsites thereafter not applied for will be assigned on a first come basis.

Click on the "Pipestone Certif. Form" button on the GTP web site, print out the Roster. Please fill it out and bring it to camp.

Click on the “7-Ranges Projects” button on the GTP web pages to find a project.  Click "Neta. GTW Projects Click Here" in the yellow area in the upper right corner to find projects set aside for the Neta. GTW.    If your Unit normally do the same project each year at the Neta. GTW it will be listed under "Project Details" in the lower part of the page and a "Hold for: Troop XX-XX-XX" will be shown.  Select a project from the "7-Ranges Projects" or Neta. GTW Projects" list.  Then click on the “Request to do a Proj.” button, fill out the form and click “Submit”.
