IT’S TIME TO SIGN UP FOR THE NETAWOTWES DISTRICT

GOOD TURN WEEKEND

MARCH 19, 20 & 21

OPEN TO ALL

This Good Turn Weekend is organized by Netawotwes District at the Seven Ranges Scout Reservation.  Join in the fun and fellowship while helping to maintain and develop our Council Camps.  Your Scouts and Leaders will also be meeting the 2010 Pipestone Good Turn Requirement.

Camping is free and lunch is provided for all Units participating in the Good Turn Weekend workday. Saturday, March 20th, is the workday. Units that are camping can check in Friday night at the Adult Leader’s Meeting at 10:00 pm in the Staff Lounge under the Dining Hall. Units coming just for Saturday will check in between 8:00 am and 9:00 am at the Administration Building. A Vesper Service and campfire will be held in the Dining Hall Saturday evening. The camp will be closed to all other camping and activities, so Units can plan their own activities for the remainder of the weekend.

 BPI Re-SCHEDULED for March 6, 2010

Anyone operating a chain saw or log splitter on Buckeye Council property must have completed BSA Chainsaw Safety Training course.

The Buckeye Council BPI Training program on March 6th will include Chain Saw Safety class, 1st of a 2 part program. If your unit is planning to use a chain saw or log splitter for your "Good Turn Project" this spring at one of our camps, it will be required for you to have completed both parts of this training before using a chain saw or log splitter in camp. If you have any questions please call Ranger Skip at 330-738-2085, Ext. 207.

THORN and VINE BUSTERS Program

Multi-flora rose and grape vines may be fighting for space in our camps, but the expanded “THORN and VINE BUSTERS” program of the Buckeye Council will encourage Scouts and Adults to knock them both out.  For complete information on the program go to the: Good Turn for Pipestone web site and click on the “Thorn & Vine Busters” button or go to: http://www.goodturnprogram.org/Thorn & Vine Busters Prog.htm
