GOOD TURN PROGRAM NEWS 

Seneca District Camporee/Good Turn Weekend - Another Success

Seneca District Spring Camporee/New Scout Welcome and Good Turn Weekend held on April 18, 19 & 20 at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation was well attended.  219 Scouts and adults, from 11 Troops, participated in the Good Turn activities.  They worked on 15 projects and completed 11 of them.  26 Thorn Busters patches/tokens were presented to those working on the Thorn Busters projects.  An estimated total of 1143 man-hours were donated to the maintenance and improvement of our Seven Ranges Scout Reservation.

How to Sign Up

Use the internet to apply to participate in Good Turn Weekends and the “Anytime” Good Turn Program and to select a GTP project.

To apply:

Go to the Buckeye Council web site: “www.buckeyecouncil.org”, click on the “Good Turn Program Link” at the top of the Buckeye Council home page, then click on the “Unit Application” button,   fill out the form and click “Submit GTP Application”.  All applications will be processed as soon as possible after they are received and you will be notified of your Troop’s acceptance.

To select a project:

Go to the Buckeye Council web site: “www.buckeyecouncil.org”, click on the “Good Turn Program Link” at the top of the Buckeye Council home page, then click on the “Camp Projects” button on the GTP web pages to find a project.  Then click on the “Request to do a Proj.” button, fill out the form and click “Submit”. 

 

Thorn Buster Patches and Tokens  

 

 

The 2008 Thorn Buster Patches and Tokens are here and will be sent to Scouts and Adults that have already participated in that program.  For information on how to earn the Thorn Buster Patch and Token, click on the “Thorn Buster Prog.” button on the left side of the Good Turn Program web pages.
